Import Payment Data into Swift from Another Payment Processor
Through Stripe, we can import your current customer payment information in your existing provider to Stripe and allow Swift to charge them without interruption, the process involves 3 steps.
More information can be found here: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/account/data-migrations/pan-import#remap-customer-records
- Request a data export from your current payment processor - this usually requires the consent of the account owner so be sure to have them initiate the request
- This is known as a PAN (Primary Account Number) export
- Note - Your current processor may charge a fee for this service
- This data is transferred directly to Stripe from the payment processor (to ensure PCI compliance and security)
- Request a data import through Stripe
- We currently support card imports at Swift
- When asked - “What Stripe Card representation do you want to import your card data into”
- Select Payment Methods
- When asked - “What data format”
- Select “CSV”
- Once Stripe completes the process and provides you the appropriate mapping files, send them over to Swift (support@runswiftapp.com) and we’ll help you out
If a PGP Migration Key is required, you can obtain that here.
