Understanding the integration

When a rental booking is made or booked, Swift automatically generates access for them.

  • Swift connects to your internet-enabled smart lock
  • Access is created based on the booking time
  • Entry is granted only during the allowed window
  • You can lock or unlock devices remotely at any time

Access Methods

Swift supports different ways to grant entry, depending on your setup:

  • Access Codes (PIN or keypad entry)
  • Access Links (customer pushes an "Unlock Device" button through a unique web link)
  • Manual Codes (custom entry managed by admin)

Only one method can be active at a time.

What are access codes?

An Access Code is a code used for a keypad or pinpad device. Unlike physical keys, which can be easily lost or duplicated, PIN codes can be customized, tracked, and altered on-the-fly.


Swift supports creating ongoing or time-bound access codes on your device at any time.

  • Ongoing access codes are ideal for residents or long-term users. Ongoing codes remain active on a device until removed. They can start right away or at a later date

  • Time-bound access codes are suitable for temporary access like appointments or bookings. These codes only allow access within the configured window.

What are access links?

Access Links provide a fully digital way for customers to enter your facility without needing a PIN code.


When a booking is made, Swift automatically generates a unique, secure link tied to that reservation.

  • Each booking gets its own access link
  • The link is only active during the booking time, including any buffer you’ve configured
  • Customers can unlock the door by tapping the button on their personalized access page

Because access is tied directly to the booking window, this helps ensure that entry is only possible at the right time, without any manual coordination.
